Almost Halloween
The problem with blogging only once a month is that there are some many cute pictures to choose from...
Ethan has had his Halloween costume since August and keeps asking how many more days it is until Halloween - lucky for him he has had two Halloween parties so far to help pass the time. Today we went to his friend Morgan's party. Troy and Ethan (and I) got dressed up and had a great time. Morgan's mom rented a gym, so there was lots of room for Troy to explore. Here is my little guy as a dragon.
Ethan as Darth Vader...
Last weekend we went to Springridge Farms with some friends to enjoy a wagon ride, pick a pumpkin, go through the Boo Barn etc.. Ethan and Troy both had fun playing in the very large sandbox. Troy (like Ethan as his age) loves playing with cars, balls, stacking rings and puzzles - it is so funny how boys are drawn to typical boy toys on their own.
Here is daddy and his little girl at Thanksgiving dinner. Olivia is doing well these days. Last night Ethan was making her laugh so hard. It was great to hear because it had been a while since I had heard her laugh like that (unless Scott was tickling her or throwing her into the air).
Troy was getting tickled by his three cousins at Thanksgiving dinner.
Troy loves opening and closing cupboard and pulling out everything that is inside. As a result, having a shower in the morning is fun - all of my bathroom products inevitably end up on the floor.
He is great little guy and is starting to develop a personality of his own. We were at the library playing the other morning and he was trying to move 3 year olds out of his way (the big toy to play with at the library is the train set). One little boy had the train Troy wanted. The little boy tried to hide it with his mom but Troy walked right over and tried to take it away a couple of times. I couldn't help but laugh - he certainly knows what he wants!!!
The days where bringing Troy to the mall and/or grocery store were easy are now over - he now will sit in the stroller/grocery cart for a couple minutes and then proclaim he is all done. Like when he is eating, when he says all done, he means all done. When he doesn't getting taken out, he becomes quite unhappy - feeding him is about the only way to help finish the errand. Overall though, he is continues to be a very sweet easygoing little guy.
Troy again...my dad was making fun of me at Thanksgiving because I kept taking so many pictures of him but he is just so darn cute and he loves getting his picture taken. Ever since he was a baby, he usually smiles and will hold a pose until the flash goes off.
A couple of weeks ago, we had Uncle Kirk and his friend over for dinner. It was great seeing him (as it had been a while) and this time we just fed him and didn't make him do any work.
Star Wars again....Scott had also got Ethan interested in Pirates of the Caribean - I think he is likely too young for both but he seems to enjoy it. Ethan is great. He is enjoying going to school and the bus issue has resolved itself. Ethan actually told Aidan the other day that he wanted to sit by himself (after all my worrying)- although they ended up sitting together. Ethan and Aidan continued to be best friends and spend many an afternoon playing together. I am definitely going to miss the nice weather and being able to play outside.
