Back from Bahamas

Scott, Troy and I just returned from a relaxing four days in Bahamas. We stayed at one of the brand new hotels at Atlantis and it was AMAZING!! It was the nicest hotel either of us have stayed at. The resort was also amazing, only complaint is that the food is very expensive ($10 for a bagel and orange juice). Scott had pop tarts for breakfast and we had leftovers for lunch to try to keep expenses down. I tried the pop tarts but they didn't taste as good as I remember.

Troy was a dream, only a little fussy one night (actually the most I have ever seen him cry) due to gas and the need to poo. Other than that, he was great, not a peep on the plane either way (although the flights times were well timed - early morning and late evening). Troy went swimming a couple of times and Scott and I took turns going down the waterslides while the other stayed with Troy. It had some great kid pools and waterslides that Ethan would have enjoyed. I felt a little bit guilty for not bringing him....but we will bring him back one day.

While we were gone, Olivia stayed with Paola and they had a great time. She is so easy to take care of and she loves Paola. Ethan stayed with my mom and had a blast. He was spoiled as usual and had many trips to the Dollar Store. They also watched curling at the Golf Club and went to see Carly and Courtney play basketball - which he loved. Four days was the perfect amount of time to be away, any longer and we would all be missing each other too much. The good thing was there was definitely something to look forward to at the end of the vacation. Ethan and Olivia were very happy to see us the next morning!!

Ethan didn't really want his picture taken....We went to Toronto today (I had a meeting at work), Ethan and Troy came with me. Ethan had a great time visiting Scott at work and Troy flirted with all the girls. He was so cute and well behaved. When I asked him what his favourite part of going to Toronto was, he said it was getting to see daddy!! What a cutie!!

Olivia loves playing with and "talking" on her new phone!!

The rest of the pictures are from our trip!!

Ethan is going to try skating again tommorrow - hopefully he will be able to stand up. Then we are off to a birthday party. January seems to be birthday party month as we have five parties to go to so far.
Before we left we had our pictures taken and there is a great picture of the three of them, wait until you see Olivia!!! She loved posing for the camera!! Hopefully it will be ready to post next week....

Three Month Weigh In

On Friday we went for Troy's three month check up. He weighed in at 19.1 lbs ad 25 inches...needless to say his weight is off the charts. He is now in 12-18 month clothing. the good thing is he caught up to Ethan's weight at 9 months and now has tons of clothes!!!

Here is Ethan and Olivia playing with Troy's new toy, an activity bar for his car seat.

Yesterday, Ethan started skating lessons with four of his little friends. This picture pretty much sums up the experience, he spent most of the lesson on his bum - although he did try to get up a number of times.

We went to my mom's for New Year's Day dinner. She brought home some things from her New Year's Eve party the night before. Ethan enjoyed playing with his hat and Olivia's beads. he continues to take pretty much anything she has....not very good at sharing with his sister.

Ethan running interference while I am trying to take a picture of Olivia....he has been quite a challenge this week. Hopefully, once he is back at school next week, he will settle down. We introduced the concept of the naughty chair (from Supernanny) in hopes of being more consistent with discipline....so far it seems to be working a little....

Here is the crowd from New Year's Eve - minus me and Troy.

Ethan. Christine and Olivia enjoyed playing/jumping on the couch on New Year's Eve.

Scott, Troy and I are off to Bahamas on Thursday for a much needed rest and a life planning session. I can't wait....four days without laundry, cooking or cleaning up!!! Until then I have to try to re-create my wallet, as it was stolen from the car yesterday. There was no money, only some gift cards from Christmas....really annoying. I had promised Scott I would change my last name - so now seems like a good time when I go re-applying for all my different ids (as well as the kids)...
