Back From Florida
We are back from a fun filled family vacation to Florida. We enjoyed the time with Nana, Grampy and Auntie Jen. The weather was pretty good - a little chilly a couple of days but the kids didn't seem to notice and swam anyway. When I downloaded the pictures, there were over 250, so I am going to try and hit the highlights.
Here is Ethan and Nana in our room. The resort we stayed at was abosolutely beautiful. It had tons for the kids to do. The funny thing is despite my many pictures, I don't have any of Ethan mini-putting, which was one of his favourite activities. It takes Ethan about 6 minutes to play a round of mini-golf. Luckily, kids under 5 were free, so he could play as often as he liked!
Ethan and Scott swimming. Ethan loved the water (and the hot tub).
I think the water is one of Olivia's favourite places. She had a blast. She also knows how to swim by herself (with water wings on). It was so exciting to watch her - now the only one that still needs one on one attention in the pool is Troy and he was just as happy playing with the rocks and dirt around the pools.
Ethan was a very good big brother - he gave Olivia his water wings so she could try them out. Once we realized how much she liked them, he let her keep them! We then had to buy him his own pair the next day.
One of Ethan's most memorable moments was going to Hollywood Studios with Scott and Jen. He LOVES Star Wars. I don't know all the Star Wars lingo but he was selected to go on stage, fight Darth Vader and became a Padawan - I am not sure who was more excited - Scott or Ethan!
Here is Olivia waiting in the car while the rest of the gang was at a loooong time share presentation. Needless to say the next time we are offered money to attend a time share presentation the answer will be no!

When Scott went out golfing with my dad, the rest of us headed to the beach. Olivia had a blast (and then fell asleep), Ethan loved the waves and Troy enjoyed tasting the sand and destroying sand castles
Ethan was not quite tall enough to ride the small water slides at the resort, so one day he and I headed to Blizzard Beach at Disneyworld. We had a great day - the weather was great and the crowds were non-existent! He also got to go down most of the big waterslides - he has no fear!
We braved going out for dinner a couple of times. All things considered, the kids were well behaved. Here is Troy passing the time by colouring!
