Merry Christmas and Happy 2009

Last night Ethan and I rang in the New Year together at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital - what fun!! It wasn't anything serious, just some glue (as opposed to stitches) to close a large cut above his eye. Here is a picture of his injury post glue!
We had our friends the Reinke's over for dinner. Ethan and Charlotte were putting on a performance (dancing and playing Olivia's piano) for their dads when Ethan had an unfortunate run-in with the change table.
Here is Olivia and part of Carson having some fun. Olivia had her haircut earlier in the day and is looking very cute!
Ethan and Charlotte also made some gingerbread houses earlier in the night.
Daddy and Olivia were looking through some Boxing Day flyers trying to find a good deal on a laptop - a laptop seems to be the only way we can get Troy is his own room. However, we have decided to hold off on the laptop (and consequently on moving Troy to his own room) for now!
We had lots of Christmas celebrations. The pictures start with the last one first and go backwards. We had Christmas dinner at my mom's house on Chrismas Day. Dinner was delicious and everyone had a great time!

We spent Christmas morning at our house. Ethan woke up around 7:45 am, which wasn't bad. We let Scott and Olivia sleep in until about 8:30 am (Ethan was getting a little impatient) and then we started opening presents. Olivia was quite sleepy at first but quickly enjoyed the fun!
Santa was good to the Sullivan children - as they had all been good boys and girls this year (or at least for the most part)!! Ethan's favourite toy was anything to do with Star Wars (and his Wii from Papa), Troy's was the kitchen and Olivia's was her musical book.

On Christmas Eve, we had Uncle Kirk and his girlfriend, Leslie over for dinner. We were told that the BC relatives wanted to see a picture of her, so here she is. Olivia was a reluctant participant in this photo!
Here is a happier Olivia earlier in the evening. My little man Troy...
On the Sunday before Christmas we had a Christmas celebration at my dad's. Here is Ethan giving Papa a golf club from all the grandchildren.
As it was the holiday season, Olivia was able to have some dessert, which included whipped cream. She enjoyed it. She is funny - as picky as Ethan and Troy are, she really prefers fruit and vegetables to dessert. I tried to give her a cookie last night and she didn't want it!
Olivia getting to know her new bear....
Troy loves to read books these days and brings them to you constantly to read to him. Here he is with Caitlyn.
My dad's house is not child proofed at all (including a sunken family room) and I spent the entire night chasing after him. Luckily there are no injuries or broken items to report! Papa was most concerned about him messing with the remote controls to the TV!
We hope that everyone had a great Christmas and that we all will have a lot of great things to look forward to this year. The first thing on our list is Florida at the end of the month with Nana, Grampy and Auntie Jen.
I am off to pack up the car, we are heading to St. Catharines for dinner...
