Nana and Grampy's Visit

Nana and Grampy came to visit with us for two weeks, they left last Sunday. We all really enjoyed their visit and were very sad to see them go!! Steve worked hard finishing off our basement bathroom, along with taking Ethan to school and gymnastics. Wendy helped me out with the kids, including spending three days in the law library at my work with Troy. Ethan, Olivia and Troy enjoyed getting to know their Nana and Grampy more and are already looking forward to the next visit next June. Ethan and Nana are planning to go to the zoo!!

Troy turned two months old yesterday, I can't believe how quickly the time is going by. He is continuing to grow at a fast pace, as this picture suggests. It will be interesting to see how much he weighs at his two month check up next week! He is doing great, I don't remember the other two "talking" as much as he does. Paola was convinced that he was saying "ma" the other day.

What a cute smile - he has dimples just like Ethan!!

Ethan has been feeling under the weather for the past week or so. He stared feeling better yesterday, just in time to attend Family Fun night at his pre-school - the loot bags seem to be a good motivation to get him to eat something!! While Wendy was here, she introduced him to the movie "Pete the Dragon". Ethan really likes the movie and has watched it a number of times since. At the beginning some scary people try to take Pete, so Ethan likes to hide here behind the couch until the scary part is over!!

Some more of Troy smiling. He continues to be a great baby, his only issue is a bad case of cradle cap which is causing some dry skin on his face. Hopefully it will clear up soon!

While Nana and Grampy were visiting, Papa and Margaret came for dinner. Here is a picture of Ethan and Papa, Papa likes roughhousing with Ethan!!! Another highlight of that dinner was Ethan, Grampy and Papa singing "Puff the Magic Dragaon" - we had given him the book earlier that day due to his keen interest in dragons.

Here is Nana reading Ethan and Olivia a story.

Olivia has taken quite an interest in Troy, although she isn't always as gentle as she should be. Here she is checking him out while he is in his bouncy chair.

Ethan cuddling with Grampy! He is such an affectionate little guy!

Scott survived his surgery to ensure that there will be no more Sullivan kiddies - it is a little bit sad, four may have been nice.... He recovered quickly and got a bit of a glimpse into what giving birth must be like!! He was back helping out with the kids later the same day...and they say men are sucks when it comes to those kind of things!!!
We are off to St. Catharines this afternoon. Ethan is sleeping at Nana Charlotte's house tonight and they are going to the Santa Claus parade tomorrow.

Happy Halloween

Here is Ethan and Aidan after all the Halloween fun - Scott had to bed Ethan to put on his mask for a picture - turned out the key was bribing him with an Aero bar!!

Lots of pictures of Olivia - uploaded the wrong ones and couldn't figure out how to delete them...

Last night, Ethan and Olivia went trick or treating with Aidan and Syndey while Troy and I stayed home to hand out the Halloween candy. Ethan was spiderman, Olivia was a butterfly and Troy dressed up in his Halloween sleeper that our friends the Thorntons gave us (although it was a tight squeeze). They had a great time and Ethan collected lots of goodies - which of course he wanted to eat for breakfast today!! He was a crazy man yesterday waiting for Halloween to come, he was so excited. Paola said that she is afraid to see how excited he will get for Christmas!!!

Troy is doing great - he weighed in at 12 lbs 14 ounces at his one month check-up - he is getting so big. I am already having to put away a lot of clothes that no longer fit him - the time is certainly flying by. He continues to be a very content little guy. He got a cold from Ethan and/or Olivia and hasn't been sleeping well but I am hoping to stuffy nose will be gone by tonight. I could certainly use more than 4 hours of sleep - and there is no time during the day to nap.

The days are just flying by, I often feel like a taxi driver shuttling Ethan and Olivia to various activities/appointments but I am definitely enjoying it!! Ethan starts a new afternoon program today, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-3:30 - he will learn to read, write words etc.. it is similar to JK. He needed something to do on those days because otherwise by the afternoon he is going stir crazy. I am hoping to find some time to start going back to the gym to shed those unwanted pounds - but not sure when I will be able to find the time to fit it in.

Last weekend, Scott's sister came for a visit - it was great to see her and have the extra set of hands!!! Ethan was sad to see her go - he wanted her to stay for two months or alternatively, he wanted her and John to move accross the street!! This weekend, Scott's parents are coming for a visit - which we are all looking forward to.
