Three Weeks Old

Troy is just over three weeks old!! The days are just flying by!!!

Everyone is doing well, Troy is getting so big, it will be interesting to see how much be weighs next week when he goes for his one month check up. I haven't been getting very much sleep, as Troy likes to eat every two hours or so, including during the night. Surprisingly, my body seems to have adapted to the lack of sleep and am able to function relatively well as there is no time for naps during the day!! All in all, I am loving having three kids.

Other than the eating during the night, Troy continues to be a very content little guy, rarely crying. Ethan continues to smother him with kisses at every possible moment. Olivia is a little bit more interested and often comes over when I am feeding him wanting to be picked up.

Olivia is doing much better at pre-school. She still cries when she is dropped off but settles much quicker each day and enjoys herself each day a little more. I think it is nice for her to get out of the house twice a week for a couple of hours.

Ethan is seeing Alligator Pie with his pre-school today. Nana went with him, as it is hard for me to leave the baby for any more than a couple of minutes. Nana has been coming once a week to help out which is great. Ethan enjoys their time together, especially because Nana spoils him. Their favourite activity is going to the dollar store, I think today they are going to go and get Halloween decorations.

Time is up, Troy needs to be fed....

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent today relaxing at home (except for going to pre-school and Science Magic) after a very busy weekend. We spent at least part of everyday down in St. Catharines. On Saturday we went shopping in the States to buy a much needed double stroller and some clothes for Troy. On Sunday night we went to my dad's house for Thanksgiving dinner - which was a lot of fun. In addition to celebrating Thanksgiving, we also celebrated Scott and my dad's birthday. My dad was nice enough to give Scott a new golf club...so on Monday he went golfing to try it out with Harry, Wayne and Kevin. My mom, Michelle and Carly helped with the kids. After golf, we had dinner with Kevin and Michelle before heading back to Oakville.

All is well here, life with three kids is great, it really feels like our family is complete. Troy is such a sweet and content little baby (at least so far). He has been eating well and generally sleeping well...last night he slept from 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. However, the night before he wanted to eat every hour and a half. I started giving Troy tummy time on the weekend and to my surprise he liked it and ended up rolling over from his back to his stomach a couple times....he is a strong little guy!

Ethan is loving his little brother and is constantly kissing him - which is really cute unless I am trying to feed him. Olivia doesn't seem too interested in him, kinda of like Ethan when Olivia arrived. She does seem to be a little bit jealous but it is easier now that I can pick her up and give her some attention. Luckily, she gets a lot of attention from Paola.

Will try to post again soon....
