Family Time
There are a lot of pictures....but they are just too cute!!
Scott was off last week, so went on a couple of fun family outings. I can't believe how quickly the summer is going by.
This one of Olivia is from tonight. She had a blast playing on the swing.
On Friday, we went to the zoo. Auntie Jen and Uncle John bought us a family season pass to the zoo - this was the first time we have been (but we will definitely go again). Ethan got his face painted as spiderman. The people from Today's Parent insisted that we enter him in the cutest baby/kid contest, so you may see him on a magazine cover sometime soon!!
Unfortunately, Friday turned out to be kids day at the zoo (kids under 12 were free), so it was pretty crazy. We will go back another day when it will hopefully not be as crowded. Despite the crowds, we still had fun.
Troy really didn't get much out of our trip to the zoo but he was happy to people watch from his stroller.
On Wednesday, we headed to Marineland with Carly and her friend, Alison. We had a great time - Ethan was the perfect age. He got in for free and there were tons of fun rides for him to go on.
Olivia trying to escape the confines of the wagon....
Ethan loved all the rides and was very disappointed that he was too short for some of the "big" rides. As you can imagine, he had no fear!! His two favourite rides were the kiddie drop zone and roller coaster - both had some adults screaming!! This is Carly's friend, Alison with Ethan.
Troy was once again hanging out in the wagon enjoying the sites. I am looking forward to next summer when he won't have to be couped up in a wagon and/or stroller (although I might feel differently next year as I chase him through the crowds).
Last week my friend Dana and her three kids came over for a playdate - both our nannies were away. We managed the six kids between us pretty well. Ethan and Charlotte played exceptionally well together. We had a slight scare following the playdate - Charlotte had some spots that telehealth told Dana were chicken pox. Luckily it turned out to be a false alarm - as all of the kids had been swimming in the pool together.

This is Troy and Peyton. Peyton is about a month older than Troy. Being the third child seems to have made them both very agreeable and laid back (at least most of the time).
Last weekend was Ethan's last soccer game. The Oakville Blue Elephants had a fantastic season. Scott was the coach of his team, so we had a team barbeque at our house following the game. Luckily the weather cooperated and everyone had a great time. Here is Ethan with his medal.
