Happy Belated Father's Day
Ethan and I were reading a book last week about going on a picnic. He was very excited about going on a picnic. I dragged out a picnic basket that Scott and I received as a wedding present earlier this week and since then Ethan has been having daily picnics inside with the picnic basket at his picnic table. Today, the four of us had a real picnic down the lake. It was a lot of fun!!!
Olivia loves playing in the sand, even though she occasionally tries to eat it!!! Yesterday afternoon after shopping, Aidan, Ethan and Olivia had fun playing in the sand.
Here is Olivia talking on the telephone before bed on Friday...
Scott spent most of the weekend working outside with Jeff on the walkway. On Saturday, Ethan, Olivia, Michelle and I went shopping in Toronto. Ethan is not the best shopper - and we were all tired by the time we got home!! We all found what we needed, including a white shirt for Ethan for Jen and John's wedding - as requested by Jen!!
When we got back, Ethan and Aidan had fun playing and swimming in Aidan's pool. Olivia spent the whole time trying to get into the pool, but it was a little too cold for her yesterday. Today Scott set up our new pool and Ethan and Olivia had a blast splashing around and getting everyone (including me) very wet!! I took Olivia out after about 25 minutes and got her dressed and every time I turned around for a second, she had made her way back to the pool and was trying to climb in - she is turning into a determined toddler!!
On Father's Day, we went down to my dad's house for a swim and a bbq. Swimming does not seem to be on Ethan's list of athletic accomplishments...although he is very coordinated at soccer, basketball, golf (you should see him hit the ball) erc.., he does not seem to be very comfortable in the water. It took him an hour or two before he could be coaxed into the water. Olivia, on the other hand, loved the water. She had a great time swimming and floating around in her car.
My attempt at getting Scott with his kids on Father's Day....impossible to get everyone looking in the same direction at the same time!!!
