Back from Our Travels

Thanks to Scott's many talents, we have had the chance to go on two trips in the past month. Scott won two awards from work, we are very proud of him. The first trip was to Calgary/Banff and the second trip was to San Francisco. Scott, Troy and I went on both trips. Olivia stayed at home with Paola and Ethan stayed with my mom in St. Catharines.

We had a great time in Calgary. Troy got to spend some time with his Auntie Jen and Uncle John who were kind enough to watch Troy for us whenever Scott and I needed to attend an event (which was usually just a really nice dinner). Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures because Scott accidentally lost the camera!!

In between trips, the kids have enjoyed playing outside. Ethan's best friend, Aidan, is no longer at daycare. Now that his is home all day, the two are having a great time playing together constantly. It is so funny because everytime they see each other they get so excited, you think that it has been a couple months (not mere hours) since they have last played together.

Here are some pictures from our trip to San Francisco. It was so much fun - what an amazing city. I wish that we had had some more time there. Scott's parents met us in San Francisco and also very kindly agreed to watch Troy whenever Scott and I needed to go to an event. We are so lucky (really I am so lucky) that Scott's parents and his sister/brother-in-law helped us out, otherwise I would have never been able to make the trip!!
Wendy was also great when Troy woke up around 5:00 a.m. each morning (time change). She would take him for walks while Scott and I got some sleep. It was great seeing everyone and we can't wait until our next visit!

Troy was so good on both trips. On the San Francisco trip, TD chartered a jet. However, because Troy was coming, he and I had to fly separately. Needless to say, flying for 5 hours alone with a six month old could be a challenge. However, Troy was great on both flights. The poor man that sat beside me on the way home say that Troy was the best behaved baby he had ever met!! Troy is getting close to crawling and continues to be a happy little guy. Only complaint continues to be the sleeping but I am going to try putting him in the crib tonight (I may have said that last time too but this time I mean it!!).

Olivia is doing well. She is walking and "talking" a lot these days. She is making slow but consistent progress. Her and Paola had a great time when we were away. The two of them love spending time together and I think Paola liked having her all to herself!!!Ethan had a great time in St. Catharines. As usual, he was spoiled by his Nana and Auntie Michelle. He also got a special treat and spent the day with Papa and Margaret. He had a great time and was very well behaved. He has been invited there for a sleep over sometime soon!

Troy just woke up from his nap, so we are off to clean the garage!!! This is likely the last nice day for a while. I will try to blog again soon. I don't know where the time is going - Troy just turned 7 months....
