Back from Vancouver
Troy went for his four month check up on Wednesday. He weighs just over 21 pounds and is just under 27 inches - he remains pretty much off the chart for weight and height. Other than that, he is doing great. He is enjoying spending time in the exersaucer, the jumperoo and the bumbo. I can't believe how big he is getting and how quickly time is going by.
Today I took in my maternity clothes and all of Olivia's old summer clothes to a consignment store. It was quite sad, in some ways I wish we could have just one more baby.....Luckily (especially for Scott) that is no longer possible!!!
Olivia has not been very cooperative when we have been trying to take her pictures lately, so this is about the only current one. She is enjoying playing with Ethan in this picture. She absolutely LOVES Troy, she loves playing right beside him, no matter where he is. She is getting much gentler with him, which is good!!
Ethan and Scott came back from five days in Vancouver on Sunday. They had a great time visiting with Scott's family in Victoria. Some of the highlights included going swimming and down water slides, going to a movie at the Imax theatre, feeding the seals and going to the aquarium. When I asked Ethan what the best part of Victoria was, he said it was seeing Nana Wendy (although he also said he enjoyed seeing everyone else as well!).
I missed them a lot when they were gone - I especially missed all of Ethan's chatter. Olivia, Troy and I had a nice time in St. Catharines but I decided next time Scott goes away I am going to be a big girl and stay home alone!!! Too much work taking everything down for a night or two!
Here are some pictures from their trip.
Over the past week, Ethan has started napping again in the afternoon, which is really nice. Although it doesn't look very comfortable, this is a picture of him yesterday. The key seems to out to put on Shrek 2 and after about 10 miuntes he is asleep.
This is a picture of Ethan and his two friends, Shelby and Aidan at his friend Jacob's birthday party. We are trying to decide what to do for Ethan's birthday party - he wants to go bowling - but that is going to be very chaotic, so I am trying to encouage an alternative. His birthday party (and consequential presents) are a popular topic of conversation. While I have been typing the blog, Ethan has been looking through a toy catalogue and pointing out all the items he wants for his birthday. Needless to say the list is long (and he is still talking)....
